Our hotels are located well within walking distance of
some of Singapore’s
most famous eating places as well as cultural and historical sites.
Food
Singapore’s ethnic diversity is reflected
in her colourful culinary culture. You will be spoilt for choice when
taking your pick from Chinese, Indian, Malay, Eurasian and even Western
fares. Be surprised by the local concoctions, for example, dishes that
blend Chinese cooking methods with Indian spices. There is always
something for everyone and every budget.
Culture and History
Take Balestier
Road for example, where one of our Aqueen Hotels is
located. It was named after Joseph Balestier, who was the first American
consul in Singapore
more than 160 years ago. The Father of Modern China, Dr Sun Yat Sen,
resided in this area when he was promoting his revolutionary activities.
Aqueen Hotel at Lavender Street
is a short stroll from colourful Little India, while our property at Paya
Lebar is within the vicinity of the Malay Village
at Geylang.
Shopping
Exciting shopping
places are never far from any Aqueen Hotel. You can easily make your way
to major shopping districts such as Orchard Road and the Marina area.
However it is in places like Little India, Geylang Serai and the local
stores near our Hotels that you will likely find a good bargain.
Please feel free to check with
our friendly staff if you need more information on choice places for
dining, shopping and sightseeing.
